I felt like I had to kick off the first wedding photography blog post with a really strong wedding. Like really strong. And not only in terms of the decor and the vendors, but truly the emotion and the couple itself. It’s a good one folks, I promise! (And I’ll even circle back and post their sweet beach engagement session next week because its also a must see.)
I mean, what can I really even say about David and Beth. They were referred to me by a past bride and I feel like we just clicked at our first meeting. We talked about how they had met, who introduced them (hint: he actually ended up officiating the wedding!) and why there were just so excited to blend their families and get married. We talked colors and dresses and venues and got down to the nitty gritty of some special things that they wanted out of their day.
It turned out ah-mazing! February ended up being a touch chilly but their venue of the lodge at Nutrien in Aurora was literally THE PERFECT spot for their ceremony and reception. It was so fun to see all their families come together for their big day and everyone had a great time dancing the night away after a delish dinner and cake.
Now. I won’t lie. I cry at a lot of my weddings. David and Beth’s day brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. Love them, their energy, their love for their families (which I am now calling myself an honorary member of…), just all of it.
